Sr Lankan Beach

Introduction

On this programme you will have the chance to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Sri Lanka, doing mostly as you please: relaxing, reading, swimming, water sports… or anything else that takes your fancy. The Beach week is at the end of the month so that you can enjoy the other side of the country, which you can come to know well prior ot hitting the beach. This is also the time for you to be together with the other participants to evaluate and share your experiences.

Itinerary

Monday
After breakfast, we will proceed to Ambalangoda where we will stay during the beach week

Tuesday
After breakfast, we will go to southern town of Galle. We will make a visit to the famous Galle Fort and a small walk around Galle city. We will return back to Ambalangoda later in the evening and spend some time at the beach.

Wednesday
We will go for a river safari to visit some of the river islands. We will return back to Ambalangoda later in the afternoon and the evening will be free.

Thursday
After breakfast, we will visit the "Mask Factory" temples and the afternoon will be free.

Friday
After breakfast, we will depart back to Kandy where we will spend the night.

Accommodation

You will be staying together in comfortable beach huts situated right on the beach. You will eat all three meals together. The food is generally continental and Sri Lankan food. So you can decide from the menu of the day, which the team leader would have. The doors and windows are not mosquito-proofed; so don't forget to bring mosquito nets or repellents.
